How does incremental copy on TAINER deal with index files

Certain camera manufacturers, Canon being the one of interest for me, keep an index (or directory) file for certain video recording modes. The file name is fixed, but its content changes as video clips are added to or deleted from the card. Does the "incremental copy" feature of TAINER update the file every time an incremental copy is performed, or will the file stay as it was when the first copy was performed ?
