Certain camera manufacturers, Canon being the one of interest for me, keep an index (or directory) file for certain video recording modes. The file name is fixed, but its content changes as video clips are added to or deleted from the card. Does the "incremental copy" feature of TAINER update the file every time an incremental copy is performed, or will the file stay as it was when the first copy was performed ?

Thank you... I have just tested it on my new Tainer with the card of my Canon camera and it indeed works fine...
If same file name with different file date or different file size detectd, TAINER recognize it as a changed file during 'checking' phase. And change the name of original file from [orgname] to [orgname.000] and copy new file to [orgname]. So if your index changes from time to time, you may see many [orgname.000], [orgname.001] ... in the updated folder. This works good as far as your camera changes file date or size of the file whenever contetns of index changes. But some old camera does not change time and size of the index, in that case, it does ot work. TAINER think it is same file and does not copy it again. And later verify fails because contetns differ. It is upto your camera.
