Diagnosing 200 Memory Cards in 1–2 HoursA Real Broadcast Team Workflow Test with OFFLOADER 16X

Diagnosing hundreds of memory cards has long been a time-consuming and space-intensive task for broadcast and production teams.

In this real-world test, a broadcast engineering team shares their firsthand experience diagnosing 200 memory cards—a task that previously required an entire day using multiple PCs. On a PC, each card typically took 5–8 minutes to diagnose, making large-scale checks inefficient and disruptive to daily operations.

With OFFLOADER 16X, the same workload was completed in about two hours while handling other tasks, such as preparing estimates and taking calls. According to the team, if diagnostics had been the sole focus, the entire process would have taken around one hour.

By running automated memory diagnostics on up to 16 cards at once with a single button, OFFLOADER 16X shifts repetitive work from people to the device. The result was a simpler workflow with clear gains in time efficiency and workspace efficiency, without the need to dedicate multiple PCs or personnel to routine checks.

The team explains these changes in detail in the interview video below, highlighting how automated, multi-card diagnostics quietly and reliably fit into real on-set routines.

Note

Following this real-world test, OFFLOADER 16X firmware v1.10 introduced enhanced media diagnostics, allowing users to visually identify memory conditions that were previously difficult to detect, further improving reliability and preventative maintenance.
